Subject: RE: DMC 11th May 2016 Paper 5 (2)(i) Enforcement Report – Crook Moss Gypsy/Traveller Site
Linda, Michael, many thanks for sending on this email. I have now discussed the case with our regulatory team and note the following:
- A private water supply is providing water to the site. This appears to be a pipe connection from a nearby farm. SEPA has no concerns in this respect.
- Portaloo toilet facilities are on-site and appear to be used also for the disposal of ‘grey-water’ i.e. water from showers and dish or clothing washing. These portaloos are taken off-site for emptying or are emptied on site by tanker disposal. SEPA has no concerns in this respect.
- We have no evidence of any pollution being caused at the site due to unauthorised disposal of waste water.
I hope this email assists with the committee meeting tomorrow.
